The Hobart Farmers’ Market is a community-based marketplace that provides the best in local food in the Northwest Catskill region. For the past 12 years, from June – September on Fridays 4-7pm, the Hobart Farmers’ Market has been a vital source of fresh food. We provide locals with fresh vegetables, meats, baked goods and more; ALL produced by local farmers, artisans and residents!

The Hobart Farmers’ Market offers more than just fresh, healthy food: we offer community. An opportunity, a place where residents can gather, run into old friends and chat, meet new friends, and purchase healthy staples while supporting local farmers/bakers/artisans.
Our vendors are homesteaders, new entrepreneurs, small family farmers, artistic neighbors, bakers, and even young, budding business owners. Our Market provides everyone with an opportunity to interact with locals, share what they are doing, and offer their goods in a beautiful, sometimes musical setting.

OUR CUSTOMERS
Our visitors: neighbors walking their dog; Rail Trail enthusiasts; families out and about; shoppers needing weekend supplies; and avid cooks seeking items for their weekend feasts. In short, a variety of community members benefit from our presence. The Market charges nothing to its vendors.

A NEW VISION
In an effort to attract more business, two of our vendors who believe the Hobart Market has an expansive  future are getting creative: for 10 years Roam on the Range has been selling its goat meat and products, along with French baguettes from the Jefferson Mill and Hapersfield Cheese. Ayhan Dorgin, a new Hobart farmer intends to continue offering his honey along with eggs, vegetables and seedlings.

For the Hobart Farmers’ 2025 season, the two farmers, inspired by their cultural heritages, are partnering to offer an Experience of Turkish Tea Time with a French Sidewalk Café Flair.
Imagine the Hobart Farmers Market with a few sidewalk café tables and chairs where community and visitors can get together, relax, sip Turkish Tea and munch on dried fruits and nuts, French baguette and cheese to the sound of Turkish and French music. And of course stock up on local meats, vegetables and other locally produced goods and enjoy a GRAB & GO take-out.
